Diehard fans of Interpol know that the 10th anniversary of the American band's first album has come and gone, as "Turn on the Bright Lights" officially celebrated its first decade on August 20. But today deserves equal amounts of celebration, because it marks the re-release of the seminal 11-song record, equipped with never before heard b-sides, demos, and live video footage. This means you can once again enjoy all the original tracks that you worshipped in the early 2000s, from "Obstacle 1" and "PDA" to rarely heard versions of "Gavilan/cubed" and "Specialist."
In an interview with Spinner, Paul Banks says, "There was some really fucking good music going on then." We agree. To honor the anticipated reissue of "Turn on the Bright Lights," we've put together a slideshow of Interpol's best moments over the past decade. Scroll through the videos below and let us know how you will be celebrating the band's 10th anniversary in the comments section.
