It's getting the point that celebrities must get nervous before making appearances on the various late night talk shows. They never know when some relic from their past is going to be sprung on them for the delight of the host and his audience. Amy Poehler was the latest recipient of this "treat" on "Conan."
Conan O'Brien showed off Poehler's picture from her high school yearbook. And while her hairstyle may look ridiculous by today's standards, people around Poehler's age remember when the coolness of a hairstyle was defined by how tall and big it was.
"Every day I would walk into school and just be, like, 'You’re welcome, fellas!'" Poeler quipped about the photo. She got her revenge, though, pulling up a picture of O'Brien during his own high school days.
Poehler is doing her part to help teen girls navigate those tough years as part of a YouTube channel called "Smart Girls at the Party," where she doles out advice -- though hopefully not about fashion.
Watch Amy Poehler every Thursday at 9:30 p.m. ET on NBC's "Parks & Recreation." Catch "Conan" every weeknight at 11 p.m. ET on TBS.
