A Wisconsin father of nine might be on the operating table for a vasectomy right now -- if one circuit court judge had his way.
At a recent sentencing, Judge Tim Boyle ordered Corey Curtis -- who has children with six women -- to stop his compulsive procreation and pay the $90,000 he owes in child support, according to The Smoking Gun.
“It’s too bad the court doesn’t have the authority to sterilize,” said Judge Boyle, the Journal-Times reports. “Common sense dictates you shouldn’t have kids you can’t afford.”
Curtis may have nine children, but it's obvious Judge Boyle wears the pants.
The 44-year-old from Racine is now prohibited from fathering another child unless he can demonstrate his ability to support that child. He is also serving three years of probation, according to WDAF.
It is unclear what the punishment would be if the Curtis kid count hits double digits. Despite his track record, Curtis doesn't expect that to be a factor.
"Judges, they make rulings," Curtis told WDJT-TV. "They make them kind of hastily. So, if that's what he feels one of my conditions should be then I'm going to abide by it."
