Health and nutrition expert Joy Bauer filled me in on the daily recommended calories for both women and men when she joined me on Mondays With Marlo. Women who are trying to lose weight should aim to take in between 1200 and 1600 calories per day and men should aim for 1600 to 2200 calories per day. If you're already eating in this calorie range, drop to the lower end of the spectrum for weight loss.
