Around here, Kate Middleton announcing her pregnancy was the most exciting news since... well, come to think of it, since Kate Middleton got married to Prince William back in April 2011. But now that the initial reports have broken, we're left to ponder: what will the duchess wear while with child?
We already took a comprehensive look back at Princess Diana's maternity style (and, despite all of the recent naysayers, concluded that she looked great), but what about the inspiration the Duchess of Cambridge could get from more contemporary royals?
Take Princess Mary of Denmark, for example. The Australian-born royal already has a similar look to Kate's, so we could definitely see the duchess opting for some of the floral coats and buttoned-up blazers that Mary chose during her 2010 pregnancy. Or wouldn't it be great if Kate tried some of Princess Mette-Marit of Norway's more laid-back, bohemian maternity looks?
So while we wait for Kate Middleton's baby bump to make its first sartorial appearance, check out what some other royals have worn during their recent pregnancies.
