Jamie Foxx 'SNL' Monologue: 'Django Unchained' Star Ribs Obama, Says 'Black Is The New White' (VIDEO)

Posted: Updated:

Jamie Foxx returned to host "Saturday Night Live" for the second time this weekend, kicking things off with a classic "SNL" monologue complete with topical jokes, a well-executed movie plug and a surprise musical performance.

Right off the bat, Foxx declared that "Black is the new white" and used Jay-Z, the Nets moving to Brooklyn, his portrayal of a slave in "Django Unchained" and Barack Obama's reelection as proof, repeatedly asking, "How black is that?" with delight.

As for President Obama, Foxx predicted that Barack's black side will take over during his second term (he can tell his white side ruled the first four years just by his dancing on "Ellen" alone):

“The next four years he’s even changing his name to President Barack Dikembe Mutombo Tupac Mandela Hussein Obama X,” Foxx joked.

Watch the full monologue above, which The NY Post called "refreshing" for bringing an underutilized perspective to the show. The Post also noted that Foxx was the first black host to appear on the show since Charles Barkley last January, and before that, Gabourey Sidibe in April of 2010.

Also be sure to check out Foxx on "Weekend Update" as the Hostess Ding Dong.
