An 8-year-old Oklahoma boy is making headlines this week after donating all his birthday presents to charity.

According to Fox 23 News, Chase Branscum of Owasso, Okla., received more than 500 gifts on his big day, but the young boy refused to keep even a single one.

I already have toys and other kids don’t,” said Chase, who chose to hold a toy drive in lieu of a typical birthday party. “They don’t have toys and when they have anything for Christmas they can’t play and they can’t have fun."

Chase reportedly donated all his presents to the Owasso chapter of Toys for Tots, a charity that gives out new toys to less fortunate children during the holiday season.

In a post entitled "This is what Christmas is all about," Texas radio station 96X the Rock celebrated the young boy's giving heart, declaring that Chase knows "what the true meaning of Christmas is."

This is not the first time this year that a young boy has stunned audiences with his selfless generosity.

In September, 8-year-old Wyatt Erber touched many hearts after he donated the $1,000 he won in a scavenger hunt to the family of a 2-year-old girl who is battling leukemia.

"I wanted to give it to them," he told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch at the time. "I didn't know what to do with it."

Earlier this year, The Huffington Post reported that a Michigan 7-year-old was putting smiles on people's faces with his heartfelt fundraising effort. Glenn Dixon reportedly donated the money he raised from selling painted rocks to a domestic violence program for women and children.

"I like rocks, I like painting and I like to see people smiling," he told Advisor & Source Newspapers. "It makes me feel good to make people happy."
