Explaining polyamory to her family wasn't easy, but Aida Manduley wanted to be straight-forward with them.
"Last year I came out to my mom and my grandmother as polyamorous," she told HuffPost Live host Caroline Modarressy-Tehrani Friday. "They already knew, but they thought I would grow out of it," adding that her family thought that polyamory was just an experimental phase during her college days.
Manduley and one of her partners, Ian Danskin, joined the segment and recounted her family peppering one of Aida's partners with questions as well.
"Don't you feel like you're being cheated on every second of the day?" they asked.
Joining them were more individuals in polyamorous relationships, including with Reid Mihalko, Allison Moon, and Randy Frehse, co-founder of ModernPoly.
