On "Intervention," viewers were introduced to 19-year-old Alissa, who injected bath salts and even bleach into her arms. She said she shot up 20 times a day, and had turned to prostitution to get her drug money.
Things started to spiral out of control for Alissa when she found out at 12-years-old that her dad was not her biological father. She'd been very close to him, but wasn't equipped to process this. Shortly after this traumatic incident, she was molested by a close family member.
Now, her father wants her to quit drugs, but the tactics he's using are only making her more miserable. Her sister said, "My dad tells Alissa that she’s worthless. He tells her that there’s no point in her being alive."
Alissa confirmed this, saying that her dad tells her she should just overdose so the family wouldn't have to worry about it anymore. At the intervention, he apologized for calling her names and Alissa agreed to go into treatment. She's now clean and sober, and has a much-improved relationship with her father.
