Ever doze off in class? Here are two tips: don't sit in the front row, and don't have a nightmare. This way, you won't wake up screaming in front of everyone.
A student at Stony Brook University learned this lesson the hard way. A physics professor noticed a student galavanting in the Land of Nod (a fanciful way to say sleeping) while he was lecturing, so he made a loud snoring sound. The student jolted awake and promptly screamed and stumbled into the front of the lecture hall. While the class just tittered nervously, the professor had a louder, more sympathetic laugh.
Correction: An earlier version of this story identified the university as Stonybrook University.
