Stephen Colbert announced a huge victory in his campaign to beat Bill O'Reilly's book on the bestsellers list on Wednesday night.
Colbert's book "America Again" finally hit number one on Amazon on Tuesday, beating O'Reilly's book "Killing Kennedy." It was a sweet victory for Colbert, who waged war against O'Reilly two weeks ago after the Fox News host joked that his next book would be "Killing Colbert."
"Nation, you did it," Colbert began on Wednesday, holding up his book, "Literally, read it and weep Bill."
Colbert pointed out that "Killing Kennedy" dominated the Amazon charts for ten weeks, which he joked was nine weeks longer than it took O'Reilly to write it.
"As for Papa Bear, I have so crushed my hero that I look forward to his next book: 'Killing A Fifth Of Bourbon In A Puddle Of My Own Tears,'" Colbert said.
