You know you loved her ... er, him? In the series finale of "Gossip Girl," it was revealed that ...
Dan (Penn Badgley) was the face behind the scandalous Upper East Side-centric blog.
The final episode -- which boasted a series of surprise guest appearances including Kristen Bell, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Lisa Loeb -- saw higher ratings than it had in over a year, bringing in 1.4 million viewers.
Fans were tweeting up a storm about the series finale and all the cameos, including Rufus' new significant other, Loeb. According to executive producer Stephanie Savage, Loeb's cameo was a way to honor Rufus (Matthew Settle) ... and, of course, "Gossip Girl" fans who grew up listening to her music.
"We didn’t want Rufus to be alone!" Savage told TVLine. "And he has been spending a lot of time recently with Lisa Loeb. He really enjoyed his hormone-free Thanksgiving concert that he went to. And so that just felt like a nice way to give him someone who was from his world. At the end of the day, Rufus is probably most true to who he was of all the characters."
