It's always nice to see a house sell for more than the owner paid for it, and such is the happy story of "The Client List" actress Jennifer Love Hewitt.
Hewitt closed a $2.15 million deal on her Toluca Lake, Calif. home Thursday -- $745,000 less than her original asking price but still almost half-a-million dollars more than what she paid for the property in 1998.
The 1952 home spans almost 6,000 square feet, boasts six bedrooms and bathrooms and is on one of Toluca Lake's "most desirable streets," notes the listing. New owners will also enjoy the spacious patio with pool and spa, as well as a private dance studio. But based on the listing photos, the traditional-style home is in sore need of a makeover. Unless, of course, the new owners take a liking to pastel pink wallpaper, marble molding and taupe carpets.
Currently, Hewitt stars as an erotic masseuse in the Lifetime TV series "The Client List" (season 2 airing in May 2013) and is also developing a modern-day "Pride & Prejudice" adaptation for the channel. Lifetime announced "Darcy's Town," which Hewitt is executive producing, less than one week ago.
The Los Angeles Times first reported Hewitt's home sale, which was brokered between listing agent Kathy Fisher of Gibson International and Fred Holley and Jana Jones-Duffy of Coldwell Banker's Beverly Hills South, who represented the buyer.
