PHOTOS: Putting An Escalator Atop One WTC

Workers reportedly installed an escalator on the 101st floor of One World Trade Center. A photographer captured the escalator dangling high above Lower Manhattan, as workers lifted it with a crane mounted on top of the building. The image, posted by Reddit user jacknappier, shows a spectacular feat of engineering, and provides a dizzying dose of vertigo.

One World Trade Center is already the tallest building in NYC.

The escalator photo comes less than a week after the first section of a 408-foot spire was hoisted atop the building.
