Dear models: We get it. You're tall. You're gorgeous. The only thing hotter than, well, you, are the people you get to date on the regs.
But that doesn't mean you have to constantly talk about it, right? Right.
Below, some of the most solipsistic quotes straight from models' mouths this year. Here's to an even-bitchier 2013 -- at least for slideshow-compiling purposes.
Janice told Us Weekly in 2012, "I couldn't be happier right now. Oh! And our wedding is going to make Brad and Angelina's look like a trip to city hall!" Those are fighting words...
After the Patriots lost the 2012 Super Bowl, Gisele didn't let her super-hot hubby Tom Brady take any heat, working her way into the football conversation. She snapped at reporters, "You [have]to catch the ball when you’re supposed to catch the ball," she says. "My husband cannot f---ing throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times.” If only we all had handsome quarterback husbands to defend.
Miranda told Craig Ferguson in 2012, "What [my grandma] said to me about men: men are very visual, so don't forget that. She said every day, put a little makeup on, put on some nice underwear, and you'll keep your husband. That's what she told me!" Yes, Miranda, it is that easy -- when you have a Victoria's Secret Angel body.
Teen model Lindsey graced the cover of Style.com's print magazine with this cover line: "The night after the shoot I had like blue hair in finger waves and I went to meet Marilyn at Nobu and when I walked in they thought I was Charlize Theron. Oh and I also did go-sees for Calvin Klein. I showed up and the guy was like what have you been modeling for a minute? And I was like, yeah."
Kate told GQ in the summer of 2012, "My one wish... I would have smaller boobs. Just kidding! Hahaha."
Tyson Beckford doesn't shy away from taking credit for the fame of Shanina Shaik, his sexy Victoria's Secret model girlfriend. The male model told the Evening Standard, "When I found her she was a regular girl. I helped place her with the right people, get her teeth cleaned, her body toned up... Everything changed and now everyone wants a piece of her. I hear people say, 'You can do better than Tyson.' I’m like, 'Really? Really?! I created her!'" Lol, okay.
He may have dated one of the world's most famous fashion designers, but don't worry, that hasn't NOT gone to his head. "I don’t know why, but there’s, like, something about me that attracts everyone," Gruber, a model who split with Calvin Klein earlier this year, tells Page Six, "I have a nickname called Romeo. I get every girl, and even guys. Something about me draws them all in.”
