Rose McGowan Cast As Young Barbara Hershey On 'Once Upon A Time' And More Casting News

Make way for young Cora!

According to TVLine, "Charmed" vet Rose McGowan is headed to "Once Upon A Time," to play young Cora (Barbara Hershey) in an upcoming episode of the fantasy series which will zero in on the backstory of Regina's (Lana Parrilla) evil mother.

"Once Upon a Time" returns to ABC on Sun., Jan 6. at 8 p.m. EST.

In other casting news ...

Aaron Sorkin is getting ready for his "Simpson" closeup. Sorkin is stopping by the animated series to lend much-needed advice to the series' news anchor Kent Brockman as he goes through a career crisis. [EW]

Ashley Fink is on her way back to "Glee." Puck's (Mark Salling) ex-girlfriend Lauren Zizes (Fink) is headed back to the halls of William McKinley just in time for the school's Sadie Hawkins dance. [TVLine]

Utkarsh Ambudkar is swinging by "The Mindy Project." The "Pitch Perfect" actor will play Mindy's (Mindy Kaling) rapper, college dropout brother in a January episode of the series. [TVLine]

Amanda Schull has joined USA's new pilot. The "Pretty Little Liars" actress has joined the untitled hour-long USA pilot from "Numb3rs" creator Nicolas Falacci and Cheryl Heuton. [TVLine]
