Michigan Unemployment Rate Drops; Still Above National Rate

(LANSING, Mich.) -- Michigan's unemployment rate is on the decline, according to the latest figures from the state's Department of Technology, Management & Budget.

The department announced Wednesday that the state's unemployment rate for November stood at 8.9 percent, down 0.2 percent from the previous month.

The national unemployment rate fell from from 7.9 percent in October to 7.7 percent in November -- the lowest it's been in four years.
