Black Voices takes a look at the hottest influencers and tastemakers today and goes behind the scenes to provide a personal look at their lives, their vision, their passion. In our first episode, we profile Nelini Stamp, grassroots organizer, activist and champion for justice.

As a young community organizer, Nelini Stamp represents a young person who has come a long way. The 25-year-old Brooklyn native who describes herself as an "organizer, trainer and foot soldier that love's to rabble-rouse for justice," is the epitome of street smart.

Stamps' struggles in school ultimately led her down a path of acquiring on the job training and having what she describes as a college experience when she got a job with the Working Families Party.
