Knicks Orange Uniforms: Were New York's Christmas Jerseys Ugly Or Awesome? (PHOTOS)

I'm dreaming of an... orange Christmas?

The New York Knicks were sporting bright orange uniforms when they took the floor against the Los Angeles Lakers at the Staples Center on Christmas. The Knicks' orange-orange combo contrasted sharply with the Lakers' all-white Christmas kit. Both uniforms are part of Adidas' attempt to use the NBA's 5-game Christmas schedule to move some product. You may remember both these uniforms from that "Carol of the Bells" commercial that was released a few weeks ago.

The reception to that clever bit of musical marketing was markedly better than what the Knicks' gear received on its own. Many took a break from their family festivities (and/or workday on the NBA beat) to call out the Day-Glo get-up.

Wearing two orange arms sleeves, an orange headband and a pair of orange socks along with his tangerine Adidas issue, Melo scored 34 as the Knicks came up short against the Lakers.

Despite it being 60 degrees in L.A., it was still a white (uniform) Christmas inside the Staples Center.
