Jessica Simpson announced she was pregnant with her second child via a tweet on Christmas Day, but the big announcement has long been in the works.

The singer actually broke the news she was pregnant in a commercial she shot back in November! Released today, her latest ad for Weight Watchers sees Simpson boasting that she dropped 50 pounds through the weight loss program, before announcing she's pregnant again.

"Being healthy has become a part of who I am, which is great timing, because I’m having another baby!” Simpson says in the video before introducing Weight Watchers' new 360 program.

Her announcement in the video reminds us that there are very few things in Hollywood that aren't planned to a tee as part of an overall strategy to rake in the profits -- especially pregnancy.

Rumors that Simpson was expecting again started right after the commercial was filmed, which leads us to believe that someone on set "leaked" the news.

It seems it's no coincidence how much free publicity Weight Watchers received after the rumors began, as it was reported Simpson's multi-million dollar endorsement deal was in jeopardy.

Of course, that's not the case. Though Simpson will take a break from the program while she's pregnant, she'll remain a spokesperson for the company, and she'll keep her millions.

“There have been no changes to our business agreement with Jessica,” a rep for Weight Watchers told ABC News. “Jessica’s successful weight loss prior to becoming pregnant will be featured in Weight Watchers’ new ‘Expect Amazing’ advertising campaign, including a spot with her sharing the happy news.”
