Michelle Obama: Running For Office 'Does Require A Great Deal Of Patience' (VIDEO)

Michelle Obama Weighs In On Running For Office

First Lady Michelle Obama, who some have speculated would make a good politician, denied any plans to run for office in an interview with ABC's Barbara Walters.

"I have learned from my husband, watching him, that it does require a great deal of patience to really feel the full impact of the work that you do on the ground," Obama said. "It doesn't happen right away."

When asked what one thing she'd change about herself, Obama told Walters she'd want more patience.

"I'd be more patient. I think I've gotten more patient over the years," Obama said. "I'm constantly working on just being patient with myself and not letting my expectations get ahead of what's happening now."

Walters inquired about the First Lady's political plans earlier this month during a wide-ranging interview that touched on marijuana legalization and the fiscal cliff. Walters also inquired about the First Couple's personal life, asking the Obamas how they "keep the fire going" in their marriage.

The Obamas also explained a photo of the couple hugging at a campaign stop in Iowa that smashed records on both Facebook and Twitter as the most-shared photo of all time.
