A Texas radio station was forced to apologize on Thursday after falsely reporting that former president George H.W. Bush had died.
The Dallas Observer flagged the error from local station WBAP. The station not only reported that Bush -- who has been in the hospital for weeks due to complications from bronchitis -- was dead, but it also sent out breaking news alerts to its email followers.
Spokesmen for Bush say that, while he is sick, he is far from dying. WBAP had to send another message acknowledging its mistake.
Luckily for WBAP (and everyone else in the media), the "Biggest Errors of 2012" lists have already been released.
