Quentin Tarantino has used the "Django Unchained" press tour to hold court on a variety of issues, from John Ford to critical writers to dream collaborators to even his thoughts on "Prometheus."
The non-prequel prequel to "Alien" from director Ridley Scott was one of 2012's most discussed and debated films, with fans and detractors alike being left to scratch their heads about the blockbuster's more questionable plot turns.
"I saw 'Prometheus.' I loved it and I was disappointed at the same time," Tarantino told Craig Ferguson during a recent sit down with the late night host. "On one hand, I was a little disappointed about it. On the other hand, it was actually kind of cool to see such a big deal serious science-fiction epic by a director like Ridley Scott. There was part of it I actually did like, and overall the experience was really cool, having been in it ... there was also a lot of dumb stuff in it, though."
Tarantino went on to cite an oft-mocked scene when a scientist (played by Rafe Spall) taunts a terrifying "space cobra" with disastrous results.
Co-written by Damon Lindelof and Jon Spaihts, "Prometheus" earned $402 million worldwide, including $126 million in North America.
