    As much as I love being with people, I cherish quiet time. I recharge in the quiet, whether reading, meditation, gardening, or petting my dogs.

    When I am with animals, I am in the present moment. Whether I am with my own dogs, or with the dogs at the shelter where I volunteer, I find that I am in a joyful place when I am with these amazing creatures.

    Snorkeling to me is a spiritual experience. I hear my breathing as I encounter the most amazing colors of fish and coral. Life under the sea is miraculous.

    The practice of Qigong leaves me feeling balanced and centered.

  • Hiking And Being In Nature

    I am so fortunate to live near amazing hiking trails, many of which overlook the Pacific Ocean. Hiking clears my mind, gives me perspective, and leaves me feeling refreshed, renewed, and grounded.

    For many years, I sang in a gospel choir. What an amazing joyous experience. I still find that singing hymns and songs from various spiritual and religious traditions uplifts my soul. And good ol’ rock and roll does that as well!

    I find myself thanking God for my life and blessings throughout the day. The more I give thanks, the more I am aware of my blessings, and the more I am humbled, restored, and centered. No matter what we are experiencing in life, we can always find something to be grateful for.
