Washington D.C. isn't known as a particularly fashionable town, but every so often a man or woman crosses those Capitol Steps and surprise us.
Today that woman was Rosa DeLauro, D-Conn. DeLauro was spotted in Washington on Thursday, posing for a photo opp with Nancy Pelosi and the other Democratic women of the House to celebrate this year's historic gender diversity.
For the occasion, DeLauro went all out in a jacket and ruffled dress with an autumnal all-over print. From where we're standing, there was paisley, stripes and floral involved, not to mention green tights and maroon lace-up ankle boots. For those looking for ombre inspiration, DeLauro is also rocking some subtle red strands. She looks awesome.
As it turns out, busy prints and unconventional silhouettes are par for the course for DeLauro, who is often the brightest representative in the House. Check out this Democratic representative's eclectic style, from today all the way back to 2000.
