Best Actress nominees at the Oscars include Jennifer Lawrence and Jessica Chastain.

The 85th annual Academy Awards take place on Feb. 24. Seth MacFarlane ("Ted") will host. MacFarlane and actress Emma Stone announced the 2013 Oscar nominees on Thursday morning.

Lawrence, as expected, earned a nomination for playing Tiffany in "Silver Linings Playbook." The 22-year-old actress was previously nominated for Best Actress for "Winter's Bone" in 2011.

Jessica Chastain, a nominee in the Best Supporting Actress category in 2012, received her Oscar nomination for playing a CIA analyst in Kathryn Bigelow's "Zero Dark Thirty."

The two young stars were joined by Naomi Watts ("The Impossible") and Emmanuelle Riva ("Amour") and Quvenzhane Wallis ("Beasts of the Southern Wild"). Wallis, who is just 9 years old, is the youngest actress to ever receive a Best Actress nomination; Riva is the oldest nominee.

Last year, Meryl Streep won Best Actress, defeating Viola Davis, Michelle Williams, Rooney Mara and Glenn Close.
