Miscast 2013: NYC Musical Event To Feature Jonathan Groff, Cheyenne Jackson, Megan Hilty And More

Posted: Updated:

"Glee" veterans Jonathan Groff and Cheyenne Jackson will join some of Broadway and TV's hottest musical talents for a one-of-a-kind performance in New York.

Dubbed "Miscast," the annual spectacular features stars performing songs from shows in which they would never be cast. It's a chance for many of the male performers to let their inner divas shine: Groff stopped the show last year with "Anything Goes," featuring tap choreography from the award-winning Broadway revival, while "American Idol" finalist Constantine Maroulis crooned classics from "The Wiz" and "Dreamgirls."

HuffPost Arts blogger Regina Weinreich hailed the 2012 show as "the year's funniest revue."

The 2013 installment, set to take place at the Hammerstein Ballroom, will honor actress Judith Light, who took home a Tony Award for "Other Desert Cities." Also scheduled to take the stage are "A Gifted Man" star Patrick Wilson, "30 Rock" vet Jane Krakowski and Megan Hilty of "Smash," along with host Victor Garber, who recently appeared in Ben Affleck's acclaimed film "Argo."

MCC Theater's "Miscast 2013" hits New York's Hammerstein Ballroom on Monday, March 4. For more information on the event, click here.
