Octomom Nadya Suleman Loses $7,500 Diamond Ring In 'Celebrity Boxing' Civil Suit

Octomom Loses Valuables In 'Celebrity Boxing' Lawsuit

Nadya Suleman has 14 kids and, soon, one less diamond ring.

The woman known as "Octomom" failed to show up Wednesday at a courtroom in Delaware County, Pa. for a lawsuit hearing about a $7,500 diamond ring that she allegedly stole last summer while participating in a Celebrity Boxing tournament organized by the plaintiff, Damon Feldman.

The no-show by Suleman resulted in a default judgement in favor of the plaintiff, according to RadarOnline.com.

When Feldman filed the suit back in November, he said he gave the ring to Suleman as a publicity stunt and said it was supposed to be returned three weeks later.

“I’m very happy to get the verdict. I hope she will be a really nice person and pay, or send the ring back. I don’t think she will, but the pressure is on her now,” Damon told the website. “The way she tried to screw me over was a joke, but I guess that’s what I get for dealing with people like that.”

Neither Suleman nor her manager, Gina Rodriguez, could be reached for comment, but Rodriguez told The Huffington Post when the suit was first filed that Feldman was lying.

“It's a lie,” Rodriguez said in November. “Nadya asked to get paid after she finished a pillow fight for Damon, he asked her and her friend that accompanied her on the trip, to meet him in his room and he would give her the money there.

"When her and her girlfriend arrived to the room, Damon opened the door let her in and dropped to his knee and conveniently had a photographer snapping pictures of it quickly. The 'ring' he is talking about was fake and did not fit on her finger.”

During that interview, Rodriguez also told HuffPost that she hoped Feldman would file a civil suit because she had texts and emails with Damon arguing over the stunt.

Suleman reportedly made six figures doing the B-list boxing matches, but Feldman banned her from the "sport" in July, in part, he alleged, because Rodriguez "owes people money and doesn't want to pay."

Octomom no-shows have become common in recent weeks.

Early last month, after her solo sex DVD received for AVN Awards nominations, Suleman expressed interest in attending the sex industry ceremony. However, a few weeks later Rodriguez told HuffPost that Octomom would not be attending the Jan. 19 awards show.
