Tyson faced as many as 60 years in prison, actually got sentenced to 10, and only served 3. That's second chance enough. To make him famous and rehabilitate his reputaiton as if he wasnt a violent wife beater who brutally raped a woman and assaulted an opponent in the ring sends the wrong signal to society.

I am not even going to comment on the irony of casting a convicted ra:pi:st, as in se:x of:fen:der, in a show that claims to be all about condemning hei:no:us, se:xu:al viol:n:ce.

I will never get over this idea that a cre:ep who is rich and famous deserves to be rich and famous once again, once he's "paid his dues," and that taking issue with idolizing people convicted of violent abuse is tantamount to saying they don't deserve a second chance at life.

If you're rich and famous, it appears you can be wicked enough to be sent to prison, but not so wicked as to be sent to the working class.

I am not even going to comment on the irony of casting a convicted ra:pi:st, as in se:x of:fen:der, in a show that claims to be all about condemning hei:no:us, se:xu:al viol:n:ce. Instead, what I am going to comment about is the fact that a sex offender is being treated like some fallen from grace knight who served his time and is now getting to return to his rightful position in the lap of fame, wealth and luxury. First of all, SVU, you don't get to claim to be anti-ra:pe when you're giving a fat paycheck to a convicted ra:pi:st to be a guest star.

Sure, Mike Tyson deserves the opportunity to make a life for himself. I'm just not convinced it has to be a life in which he regains his fame and fortune.

how has he evolved? and have you? The man is a convicted rapist and abuser who everyone thinks bnow that he served his time he totally deserves his fame and fortune back and that he totally shouldnt be asked to reflect upon his actions. To then cast him in an anti rape show is beyond ironic.

Did you see him guest hosting on the View with Whoopi Goldberg and the gang a few weeks back. From what I could tell none of those women were judging him on his past actions. He was actually quite funny and entertaining. I have been watching Mike Tyson's since his old fighting days back in the 80's. I don't know him personally but sometimes enough things happen to people to make them want to turn their life around.

Talk about type casting???? Mike, no disrespect but I know you got this part hands down, looking forward. See, I stand corrected, the tats on your face perhaps have served a purpose I had not thought of them doing, congrats!!! Love SVU IMO
