The NFC tournament has delivered chalk. The No. 2 seed San Francisco 49ers are visiting the No. 1 seed Atlanta Falcons with a berth in Super Bowl XLVII on the line. This game will kickoff at 3:00 p.m. EST at the Georgia Dome and will be televised on FOX, per NFL.com

HOW DID THEY GET HERE?

  • Fresh off a bye, the 49ers rolled over Green Bay Packers at Candlestick Park on Saturday. Dynamic dual-threat quarterback Colin Kaepernick rushed for a record-setting 181 yards and accounted for four total touchdowns in the 45-31 win.
  • Having also earned a bye, the Falcons opened their playoff run at home. Despite taking a 20-0 lead over the visiting Seattle Seahawks, the Falcons needed a stunning comeback of their own to advance. The Seahawks overcame the Falcons early margin and took the lead in the final minute. Less than a minute away from his fourth career playoff loss in four career tries, Matt Ryan drove the Falcons into field goal range and Matt Bryant did the rest. The Matty Ices won 30-28.
