Doris Day's Hat Is Making Our Day (PHOTO)

Posted: Updated:

Actress Doris Day was the picture of Hollywood glamour in the '50s and '60s. Although she got her start as a singer, she went on to be ranked as the biggest box office star several years in a row. Her coiffed blonde hair, diamond earrings and silk scarves ensured that she always looked the part and made men all over the world swoon. (Day, a Cincinnati native, kept busy -- she was married a total of four times in her life.)

This 1955 photograph of Day has us seriously craving warm weather. Pictured here smoking a cigarette and looking impossibly chic, Doris is clad in a wide-brimmed straw hat that flatters her round face. She has a terrycloth sweater casually draped over her slim shoulders. Those sexy, smokey eyes make it easy to see why she was such a heartbreaker.
