Michael Haneke's Twitter: 17 Great Tweets From The Parody Account Of Awards Season, lol

Michael Haneke is the Oscar-nominated director behind Best Picture nominee "Amour." He's also the focal point of the best parody Twitter account of awards season.

Started in November, the fake Michael Haneke has amassed over 17,800 followers, and drawn interest from actors like Ellen Page and Russell Crowe. Haneke -- who has won two Palme d'Or trophies from the Cannes Film Festival, a fact the fake Haneke loves to bring up as often as possible -- is aware of the account, but not necessarily a fan. "My students [at the Vienna Film Academy] said there was a weird Twitter account," Haneke, 70, told Los Angeles Times reporter Amy Kaufman at the Golden Globes (via a translator). "But I'm not that interested in that kind of thing. It's not for me."

It is for you, however -- unless you're name is "terruns malick." To celebrate the absurdity that is @Michael_Haneke, HuffPost Entertainment has compiled the account's 17 best tweets of 2013. Follow along and enjoy, lol.
