Kim Kardashian may not be a history buff or a marriage expert, but there's no mistaking that she's pretty successful in life.

HuffPost took a serious, scientific look into just how hard it would have been for Kim not to make it in life -- and it turns out she was just about destined for success.

Check out all the reasons Kim was meant for the high life below:

  • Kim is pretty.

On TV, looks usually matter more than what you have to say. And beauty has paid off for Kim and countless others. <a href="http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052970203687504576655331418204842.html" target="_hplink">Attractive</a> <a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/04/05/resume-tip-leave-photo-off_n_1405772.html" target="_hplink">people</a> get paid more than less attractive people, according to several studies.

  • Kim is wealthy.

It takes money to make money, and in Kim's case, it was easy to rake in big bucks because <a href="http://www.guardian.co.uk/news/2003/oct/06/guardianobituaries.usa" target="_hplink">her dad was so rich</a>. People who are born wealthy are more likely than others to be rich as adults, <a href="http://www.bostonfed.org/economic/ppb/2012/ppb121.pdf" target="_hplink">studies</a> <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/roomfordebate/2012/01/08/is-the-us-still-a-land-of-opportunity/a-great-nation-if-youre-born-rich" target="_hplink">show</a>.

  • Kim went to private school.

They say knowledge is wealth, but these days you need wealth to build knowledge. Kim went to an <a href="http://www.biography.com/people/kim-kardashian-450760" target="_hplink">exclusive private school</a> in Los Angeles, even though she never earned a college degree. <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2012/02/10/education/education-gap-grows-between-rich-and-poor-studies-show.html?pagewanted=all" target="_hplink">Well-off children</a> tend to get better educations, research shows, which sets them up for success later in life.

  • Kim has a helicopter parent.

When you're young and distracted, it helps to have a doting parent keeping you on task. And Kim's mom <a href="http://kimkardashian.celebuzz.com/contact/" target="_hplink">Kris Jenner</a> fits the bill. <a href="http://www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2012/10/the-real-problem-with-helicopter-parents-there-arent-enough-of-them/263410/" target="_hplink">Some say helicopter parents tend to raise more successful children</a>.

  • Kim had a happy childhood.

Employers would rather hire happy people, it seems. <a href="http://blogs.wsj.com/economics/2013/01/04/it-pays-to-be-happy/" target="_hplink">People who were happy as young adults make more money</a> in their late 20's, according to a recent study. And Kim had an ostensibly happy <a href="http://www.celebuzz.com/photos/kim-kardashians-childhood-photos/" target="_hplink">childhood</a>.

  • Kim is popular.

Sorry, loners: The popular kids in school probably are doing better than you right now. <a href="http://papers.nber.org/papers/w18475" target="_hplink">People who were popular in high school</a> make more money throughout their lives, according to a recent study. And Kim is popular: She has <a href="https://twitter.com/kimkardashian" target="_hplink">17 million Twitter followers</a>, after all.

  • Kim had a famous sex tape.

<a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/08/08/rumors-kris-jenner-orchestrated-kim-kardashian-sex-tape_n_1755831.html" target="_hplink">Kim's sex tape</a>, which spread online in 2007, arguably made her famous. The reality show <a href="http://www.biography.com/people/kim-kardashian-450760?page=2" target="_hplink">"Keeping up with the Kardashians"</a> debuted soon after. Sex tapes also catapulted Paris Hilton and Pamela Anderson into fame.

  • Kim was born at the right time.

When you're born can have a huge impact on success. <a href="http://www.biography.com/people/kim-kardashian-450760" target="_hplink">Kim</a> had already started building her business empire before the Great Recession struck -- and this can make all the difference. Recessions can doom <a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/05/10/college-graduates-full-time-jobs-study_n_1496827.html" target="_hplink">young workers</a> and <a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/25/us-lost-more-than-170000-small-businesses-2008-2010_n_1702358.html" target="_hplink">entrepreneurs</a> alike.

  • Kim is thin.

    Despite her famous curves, <a href="http://www.zimbio.com/Kim+Kardashian/articles/840/Kim+Kardashian+Says+117+Lbs+Fits+Size+27+Jeans" target="_hplink">Kim is thin by most standards</a>. And <a href="http://www.cbsnews.com/2100-500165_162-6938941.html" target="_hplink">thin women</a> <a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/06/08/skinny-women-make-more-money_n_872799.html" target="_hplink">rake in more money</a>, according to studies.

  • Kim exercises.

Sometimes how often you work out matters more than how hard you work. <a href="http://www.celebuzz.com/2013-01-03/mom-to-be-kim-kardashian-hits-the-gym-for-another-workout-in-los-angeles-photos/" target="_hplink">Kim</a> goes to the gym regularly, and <a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/06/07/exercise-higher-pay_n_1577922.html" target="_hplink">people who exercise</a> <a href="http://money.cnn.com/2012/10/01/pf/salary-working-out.moneymag/index.html" target="_hplink">on a regular basis</a> make more <a href="http://www.fitpro.com/news/index.php/2012/03/exercise-good-for-your-pay-cheque/"target="_hplink">money</a> than people that don't, according to several studies.

  • Kim is childless (for now).

Not having to take care of screaming toddlers can be a good way to get ahead. <a href="http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/JobClub/study-shows-childless-women-succeed-mothers-worplace/story?id=11448102" target="_hplink">Several</a> <a href="http://people.ucsc.edu/~nuclear/econ180/hotnews/havingitall.htm" target="_hplink">studies</a> <a href="http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2005556/Successful-childless-The-career-women-Generation-X--family.html" target="_hplink">show</a> that women without kids are more successful than mothers. Kim, who is 32, has been childless -- until now. She is now <a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/12/31/kim-kardashian-pregnant-reality-star-kanye-west-expecting-first-child-together_n_2386453.html" target="_hplink">expecting her first child with rapper and songwriter Kanye West</a>.
