"I walk in and immediately feel like walking out."

This was the sentiment expressed by students on Twitter about their respective high schools on Tuesday night, when the hashtag #igotoaschoolwhere trended worldwide. Teen tweeters everywhere posted the daily stresses they feel in between classes, from social pressures ("I can't be myself without being judged") to frustrations with strict administration ("our principal worries about our dress code more than us getting educated").

While clicking through the tweets is a somber read, they also provide a poignant window into the feelings that students around the world seem to share about high school life. See a sampling in the slideshow below and tell us: what was/is your high school like? Sound off in the comments below or tweet @huffpostteen.
