Baby rhino Bys has some stellar dance moves, but what makes the Indian rhinoceros so special is not his playfulness, it's his birthplace.

Welcomed to the world at the Warsaw Zoo on Christmas Day, Bys is the first of his kind to be born in Poland.

"The birth of this rhinoceros is one of the most important events in the history of Polish zoos," Andrzej Zielinski, a representative from the zoo said, according to ZooBorns.

Born to Shikari (mother) and Kuba (father), Bys is being held indoors until spring, when he will make his official public debut. Until then, zookeepers at the Warsaw Zoo have been posting photos and videos of Bys on the zoo's Facebook page.

In the most recent video (see above), Bys dances and trots around his shared cage. In another, he enjoys bath time with his mother.

Indian rhinos, also known as greater one-horned rhinos, became close to extinction in the 1970s when there were only about 600 left in the world, according to the World Wildlife Fund. However, breeding and conservation efforts throughout the past few decades have increased the population to more than 3,000 worldwide.
