Norah Jones is headed to the Oscars. The Grammy-winning singer will take the stage at the 85th Annual Academmy Awards to perform "Everybody Needs a Best Friend" from Seth MacFarlane's "Ted."
"Everybody Needs a Best Friend" is up for Best Original Song against "Before My Time" ("Chasing Ice"), "Pi's Lullaby" ("Life of Pi"), "Skyfall" ("Skyfall"), and "Suddenly" ("Les Miserables").
It was announced earlier this month that Adele will also be performing her Best Original Song nominee, "Skyfall," at the awards.
“I had such a great time recording this song with Seth, and was thrilled to find out that it was nominated for an Oscar,” Jones said in a press release. “Getting to perform it at such a prestigious event, which my friend is hosting, is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
MacFarlane, who has been tapped to host the awards show on Feb. 24, co-wrote "Everybody needs a Best Friend."
