Rick Ross Shooting: Police Haven't Found Good Surveillance Video, According To Report (VIDEO)

Is There Surveillance Video Of Rick Ross Drive-By?

Police have yet to turn up any surveillance video that captured the apparent attempted murder of rapper Rick Ross Monday morning, according to WSVN.

Investigators returned to the scene of the drive-by shooting in Fort Lauderdale Tuesday, seeking any video record of the crime -- but the station reports they have so far come up empty-handed. According to CBS Miami, detectives don't even have a description of the shooter or shooters.

Ross was leaving the Floridian restaurant on Las Olas Boulevard around 5 a.m. Monday morning, having spent the previous evening celebrating his 37th birthday at LIV nightclub on Miami Beach.

But when the Miami-bred rapper drove off in his 2011 Rolls Royce, with rumored girlfriend fashion designer Shateria Moragne-el along for the ride, gunshots rang out, reportedly from a second vehicle.

In his attempt to escape the hail of bullets, Ross -- real name William Roberts -- turned onto a nearby SE 15th Street and lost control of his car, crashing into the wall of an apartment complex.

“It was like a giant kaboom," Beth Balk, who lives in the apartment struck by the Rolls, told CBS Miami. "It rocked me off the bed and I went to the front door."

Neither Ross nor Moragne-el were injured, though police reportedly plucked at least a dozen shell casings from the scene. Rapper 50 Cent mocked the shooting on twitter, suggesting it was staged because he didn't see any bullet holes in the car, but Balk told WSVN the pair looked shaken up after speaking to police.

"They looked disheveled, you know what I mean?" she said. "They looked like they'd been through something."

WLS-TV in Chicago reports Ross has been the subject of threats by members of the Windy City-based gang Gangster's Disciples, but police have not confirmed any connection to the feud.

Ross, meanwhile, is "just layin' back" after the incident, rapper Pusha T told MTV News.
