Movie studios are no slouches when it comes to advertising, so it's no surprise that advertising executives have snapped up a good chunk of Super Bowl commercial slots and are allocating them to some of their biggest upcoming releases.
Among the ads you'll see on Sunday, per Deadline: new spots for "Iron Man 3," "Star Trek Into Darkness," "The Lone Ranger," "Oz: The Great and the Powerful" and "The Fast and the Furious 6."
Buying airtime during the game is notoriously expensive. This year, a 30-second spot is costing studios $4 million -- up from last year's $3.5 million.
Notoriously absent from the blockbuster line-up: "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire." Despite aiming for a November release, Lionsgate appears to have elected not to go in on the Big Game.
