Tragic Vehicle Accident Kills Woman On M-39

(DETROIT) -- An early-morning crash in Detroit on Wednesday has claimed the life of one person.

The crash happened shortly before 4 a.m. on the northbound side of M-39 near McNichols. According to published reports, a vehicle crashed into a guard rail, with authorities saying that another vehicle then slammed into the first vehicle, which was stopped in the roadway.

The female driver of the first vehicle was taken to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The crash remains under investigation.
