When Kelly Osbourne showed off her heart-shaped French tips at the 2013 SAG Awards, we thought only Ozzy's daughter could pull off this goth take on the classic manicure. Yet she totally got us thinking about our own Valentine's Day nail art as we're so over using the same shade of red nail polish.
Inspired by vintage Valentines, Polish You Pretty bloggers Danielle and Jenny created this heart-tipped nail look using pink lacquers. We love how the white accents resemble doilies. Scroll down for Danielle and Jenny's step-by-step instructions on how to get these Valentine's Day nails.

Step 1: Apply a base coat, then paint nails with two coats of Essie Fiji. This color, as well as OPI Mod About You, are our go-to pale pinks. They have an almost chalky, Wite-Out quality that we love.
Step 2: Once your base color has dried, paint the tops of the hearts on the tips of each nail using Essie Mod Squad. This bright pink pops perfectly against the pale pink. If you don’t feel comfortable using the larger bottle brush, try drawing the outline of the heart using a small brush and then fill in the color.
Step 3: Using a dotting tool (or a bobby pin), outline the inside of the heart in Sally Hansen Whirlwind White, which gives the heart a lace look.
Step 4: To finish, go over the design with Essie Matte About You. The flat top coat completes this monochromatic manicure.
