News that Chris Pratt's television alter ego, Andy Dwyer, would love. (Or at least Burt Macklin.) According to Deadline.com, Pratt -- who stars on "Parks and Recreation" -- has won the role of Peter Quill in "Guardians of the Galaxy."

Casting for Quill -- also known as "Star-Lord," which, as CinemaBlend editor Katey Rich noted was probably a band name rejected by Andy Dwyer -- has been ongoing for months. Back in November of 2012, Deadline.com reported that Joel Edgerton, Jack Huston, Jim Sturgess, Lee Pace and Eddie Redmayne were up for the role of Quill, an astronaut with a half-alien father who leads the Guardians of the Galaxy. (There's a raccoon involved, FYI.)

In December of 2012, Variety had Strugess in the lead, along with "Chuck" star Zachary Levi. January of this year brought one more name: Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Deadline.com reported Gordon-Levitt's involvement, but the star chose "Sin City: A Dame To Kill For" instead of "Guardians of the Galaxy."

That apparently opened the door for Pratt, who is currently onscreen in "Zero Dark Thirty" (playing a Navy SEAL opposite Edgerton). 2013 should be busy for Pratt, as he also co-stars in the Vince Vaughn comedy "Delivery Man."
