Katharine McPhee might want to start checking to make sure she's not booked on late night shows on the same night as Russell Brand in the future. On "Late Night," Brand was the guest before the "Smash" star, but when McPhee came out he refused to move to the couch. Instead, he forced her to sit on his lap. And when he finally gave up his seat, things actually got even more uncomfortable.

"I’ll just be over here with my sexual charisma," he teased.

"Oh my Gosh. This is just too much for the first 30 seconds," McPhee said.

"I thought of things that I’d like to exchange with her," Brand said, acting as if he was oblivious to Jimmy Fallon or the entire show happening around him. "Genetic info, data."

It all came to an abrupt end when McPhee told him she was married. With that, Brand simply walked off the stage.

See Katharine McPhee when Season 2 of "Smash" kicks off on Tuesday, February 5 at 9 p.m. EST on NBC. "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" airs weeknights at 12:37 a.m. EST, also on NBC.

TV Replay scours the vast television landscape to find the most interesting, amusing, and, on a good day, amazing moments, and delivers them right to your browser.
