Lennon And Maisy Talk 'Nashville,' Favorite Shows And More

Lennon & Maisy Talk Crying On 'Nashville,' Loving 'Full House' & More

On ABC's "Nashville," the singing sisters play Maddie and Daphne Conrad, the daughters of country legend Rayna James (Connie Britton). Though they were all about talent shows and "side boob" at the start of the season, things are about to get emotional.

"We just recently did a whole crying scene, because our family and our parents are going through a hard time. It was intense," 13-year-old Lennon told Vulture. "Maisy had [cried before] for a music video, but I had never done anything. But I’m really sensitive, so even when I was reading the script, I was like [dramatic crying noise] 'I can’t.' So it wasn’t too hard."

Though the Stella sisters have weekly "Nashville" viewing parties, there are a couple other shows they can't get enough of. "My favorite show is 'Wizards of Waverly Place.' And 'Full House,'" nine-year-old Maisy told Vulture. They are also "very, very big 'Pretty Little Liars' fans," Maisy said. "I got to meet some girls from 'Pretty Little Liars,'" Lennon added. "She was freaking out!" Maisy interjected. "She was like 'Ohmygod, that’s Toby. That’s Toby!'"

The young actresses and artists have gotten a lot of attention from other big stars. One Direction's Harry Styles tweeted about them, prompting Lennon and Maisy to sing a birthday song for him that they posted on YouTube.

But one of the most exciting stars that's contacted them is a far cry from the teeny bopper set. "Julian Lennon was a big one for me," Lennon, who's named after Julian's famous Beatle father, told HuffPost. "I was like, 'Oh my gosh!' That's the closest to John Lennon I'll ever get. I mean, I love him! I was so excited. That was probably my ultimate."

"Nashville" airs on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. EST on ABC.
