Donald Driver Visits Angie LeRoy, 78 Year-Old Packers Fan, Days After Retirement Ceremony (VIDEO)

WATCH: Donald Driver's Touching Start To Retirement

Donald Driver's to-do list before he officially retired from Green Bay had three items:

  1. Attend retirement ceremony
  2. Hug Angie LeRoy
  3. Head home to Texas.

On January 31, the 38 year-old Green Bay wide receiver announced his retirement, having spent all 14 years of his career in Green Bay en route to becoming the team's all-time leading receiver.

While it was undoubtedly a difficult choice for Driver to make, it appears fans may have had the hardest time coping, not the least of which is Angie LeRoy, a 78 year-old Packers fan.

LeRoy told Fox11 on Tuesday that she thought Driver stands alone as teams top player. She continued, "He's my idol. I was a cancer survivor, and I just hope someday I can get a hug from him."

Little did she know Driver would make that hug happen, and just in time for Valentine's day, too.

The heartfelt moment was captured by Fox11, with Driver telling LeRoy, "Here's your hug love, Thank you so much."

USA Today notes Driver was known for his "unusually strong" connection with Packers fans, a notable accomplishment on a team known for it's devoted fan base.

Prior to that, Driver won over an even broader audience after he took top honors in the 2012 season of Dancing With The Stars.
