'Grey's Anatomy': Callie's Strange Plan To Save The Hospital

After the insurance company refused to pay the settlement to the plane crash survivors, Seattle Grace was in trouble. On this week's installment of "Grey's Anatomy," Callie gathered the survivors together to make a big announcement. As the hospital had to pay out the settlement, it was heading into bankruptcy. She had a rather unorthodox idea to keep it going.

"We can’t just keep our heads down and lay low. We’re the reason the hospital’s in trouble," she said. "We have to do something. We have a responsibility, which is why I think we should buy the hospital ourselves."

Should they agree to do it, this idea certainly has the potential to be a major game-changer for the show. Suddenly, these doctors will have to think like hospital administrators, and worry about keeping the hospital profitable and successful. It could breathe new life into their characters and really expand the kinds of stories that are being told.

See how it plays out as "Grey's Anatomy" continues on Thursdays at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
