UPDATE: Feb. 13, 5:30 p.m. - E! News reports that Haley Hasselhoff was indeed arrested and charged with DUI, despite the actress' claims to the contrary.

In the criminal complaint obtained by the website, it states the charges against the actress were filed on Jan. 3.

The document states that because neither Hasselhoff, nor a lawyer appearing on her behalf showed up for her Jan. 16 arraignment, a bench warrant was issued and bail was set at $26,000. On Feb. 11, the actress' attorney appeared on her behalf, paid the bail and the bench warrant has since been withdrawn.

A court date for Hasselhoff to enter a plea has been set for Feb. 25.

UPDATE: Hayley Hasselhoff has denied reports that she was arrested for DUI. The 20-year-old told "Entertainment Tonight":

"The story that broke this week is absolutely false. I did not get a DUI, nor did I get arrested."

Hasselhoff added, "Unfortunately, this is not the first time my family and I have been falsely accused in the media. However, since drinking and driving is not a matter I take lightly, I wanted to speak up for the sake of my family, friends and supporters."

According to the website, Los Angeles prosecutors formally filed the charges against former "Baywatch" star David Hasselhoff's youngest daughter on Jan. 3, and she faces up to six months in jail if convicted.

A source revealed the 20-year-old, who appeared on the short-lived 2010 reality series "The Hasselhoffs," as well as the short-lived ABC Family series "Huge," is planning to fight the charges.

This isn't the first time the aspiring actress' last name has made alcohol-related headlines.

In 2007, her older sister Taylor recorded and uploaded a video of her father's drunken rant while eating a cheeseburger, as she pleaded with him to stop drinking and uploaded it to YouTube. In 2009, the actor allegedly was rushed to the hospital and treated for alcohol poisoning on multiple occasions, though his reps denied the reports.

Meanwhile, Hayley’s mom, Pamela Bach, was arrested twice for DUI in 2009 and 2010, and was sentenced to 90 days in jail and had to wear an ankle bracelet that detected the presence of alcohol in her system for six months.

A request for comment made by The Huffington Post to Hasselhoff's reps has not been returned at this time.
