Brace yourself for another ridiculous Taylor Swift rumor -- only this one doesn't involve boys. Us Weekly reports that the 23-year-old singer has butted heads with fellow country diva Carrie Underwood, and that the pair were "planning on avoiding each other at Sunday's 2013 Grammy Awards." An insider tells the publication that Swift and Underwood "hate each other!" and that a request had been filed to Grammy execs to keep them "from crossing paths."
If this story of stiffed country stars sounds like it needs to be taken with a grain of salt, it's true. A rep for the Grammys denied the report, saying that "no requests were received from either artist." Meanwhile, Gossip Cop also rejected the report, quoting a source "close to Swift" who said the Us Weekly item is 100 percent "untrue."
Baseless as the rumors may be, Underwood hasn't exactly praised Swift in the past. In January 2013, the 29-year-old former "American Idol" contestant told Allure magazine that she and Swift weren't "close": "I'm not close to her. We run into each other at events. We're never in the same place at the same time," she said.
