Joe Biden Whispers To Boehner As Speaker Remains Seated During State Of The Union Address (GIF)

President Barack Obama stood before a joint session of Congress on Tuesday, delivering his fifth annual State of the Union address. In a speech that drew many applause lines from lawmakers and attending guests -- around 80 according to a White House pool report from HuffPost's Jen Bendery -- Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-Ohio) appeared hard to please.

Obama's call for a minimum wage hike was generally well-received. Many members of Congress on both sides of the aisle stood and applauded, but Boehner remained unimpressed. As Vice President Joe Biden sat down, he disappeared behind the president to whisper something to Boehner.
