Haven’t made romance work at work? You might want to consider changing jobs.

Certain jobs are more likely to lead to lasting romance, according to a recent survey by career site PayScale. The poll found that of 42,000 employees surveyed, only 6 percent married a co-worker, even though 15 percent would be open to a lasting relationship with a colleague.

One proven way to get the attention of that workplace soul mate is the simple use of emoticons, which is often the first signal of potential workplace romance, according to a study from last year.

It also helps if you’re young. Of those aged 18 to 29, 84 percent say they would have no problem becoming romantically involved with a co-worker. Of course, more than a few of those may just be looking for a workplace fling.
