Krysten Ritter Joins 'Assistance' And More Pilot News

The 'B----' Has A New Show

Krysten Ritter, the former "B---- in Apt. 23," has found a new home at NBC. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ritter will star in "Assistance," a comedy based on Leslye Headland's play of the same name.

Headland will write the script.

Ritter will play Nora, a workaholic assistant to a movie producer who is balancing life at work and a personal life. Ritter previously starred in ABC's "Don't Trust the B---- in Apt. 23" for two seasons. The low-rated comedy was recently canceled by ABC.

In other pilot news ...

Tom Everett Scott will star in "Bloodline."
In the NBC pilot, Scott will play Dr. Christopher Benson, an ER physician and the father of the main character, Bird. [TVLine]

Peyton List has joined "The Tomorrow People."
List will play one of the young people who develops special powers. The CW pilot is a remake of the 1970s series of the same name. [TVLine]

Burn Gorman has joined "Turn." Gorman will appear in the AMC pilot set in 1778 that tells the story of New York farmer Abe Woodhull as the country fights for independence. [Deadline]
